One thing I learned about mindful meditation is that it’s ok to be distracted.

If you have done mindful meditation (usually the one that uses breath as an anchor), you’ll know that it’s so hard to not think about the future and the past. What I have done and what I have to do, in short, it’s hard not to be distracted.

But over and over again, as I continue my practice, it became apparent that the goal is to not think and not be distracted but to catch yourself thinking and being distracted then gently bring back your attention to your breath.

It’s impossible not to be distracted not just in meditation but also in life. The goal is to catch yourself and bring yourself back to the present.

Be happy!
