Remember a verse in the bible wherein it says, “Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward”? Today’s post is about false humility.

For me, false humility is almost the equal weight of bragging. When someone praises you, and you don’t know what to say, just say, thank you rather than, making up excuses for how you were able to accomplish something such as luck and destiny.

I used to do this a lot but I realize that by doing so, we are doing ourselves a disservice.

Although luck has something to do with our achievements, it’s our preparation and continuous hard work that should be given merit.

Last but not least, let us remember the scripture in Mathew 23:12, For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.

I think, it’s ok to inform people about your achievements if the purpose is for really just informing and not bragging.

Be happy!
