Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? – Matthew 6:27

I am a worrier and that’s a fact and you know what, 99% of the time, the things I worry about don’t even happen.

So why do we worry? It has something to do with our “flight or fight” mechanism and although the intent is to protect us, it does hinder us preventing us from solving a problem (nowadays I call it challenges) when our intent to worry is to solve the actual “challenge”.

So how to stop worrying? Here are what I do, it may or may not work for you so I encourage you to try what will work. While waiting for everything to pass, I do these:

  1. Pray and leave it all to God
  2. Divert my attention by doing something fun
  3. Exercise/Workout

Whether worrying lessens our lifespan or not, as per the bible, it doesn’t add an hour to our life so rather than worrying, do something that will take away your mind from worrying and do things that can make you happy.

Be happy!
