This is a fresh story from my drum instructor and I would like to share it with you.

There was a 98-year-old man suffering from shortness of breath and when he went to the hospital, they told him that he would need a ventilator for which he has to pay $5000 every day.

The old man cried and when the nurse asked if it’s about the payment, he said he has the money but what’s saddening is that he didn’t appreciate the air he is breathing for the last 98 years for free and now he has to pay for it so he can live.

I love the story because the lesson is so clear. We tend not to appreciate what we already have but instead, we focus on what we don’t have and sulk over it.

Form now on, I will appreciate the minor things more as they are easy to be taken for granted.

What will you start appreciating more?

Be happy!
