As long as I can spend time with my kids and family, I can play the drums and make music and code, I’m a happy man.

When I was younger, I thought the only things that can make me happy are a big house, a fat bank account, and anything that has something to do with being rich. It turned out that’s not really true.

Lately, I find happiness and joy in things that in the past I usually take for granted. I have great health, I have a loving family and a good enough salary that I can buy what we need and at times what I don’t need. What is there to not be happy?

The lesson is that happiness and joy most of the time comes from simple things that we fail to appreciate. Start appreciating the simple things more and I promise you, you’ll appreciate greater things that are happening in your life.

Be happy!
