Whenever I am starting to feel stressed, I do box breathing.

Used primarily by people in high stress jobs such as police and soldiers, this breathing technique has helped me center and relax in times of chaos.

Here’s how:

1. Choose the number of seconds to use (I usually play around 5-10)

2. Inhale for x (your number in step 1)

3. Hold for x

4. Exhale for x

5. Hold for x

6. Do it for about 5-10 times

That’s it. Notice how your emotional state changes.
